Case Study: BOLT AI — Agent Builder for AWS
BOLT AI is a first-of-its-kind product built by NeuraFlash for AWS users. Similar to Salesforce’s Agentforce, it allows organizations to design and deploy AI agents through a web-based bot UI or IVR voice experience. As the product designer, I led the end-to-end design of this platform, creating a scalable solution that enables companies to easily build, customize, and launch AI-powered agents for support and service use cases.
The Goal:
Create an intuitive AI agent builder for AWS users — a solution that mirrors the functionality of Salesforce’s Agentforce but with improved usability, clearer UI, and greater flexibility. The product was designed to help organizations using AWS enhance their customer support and service operations with deployable AI agents.

The Challenge:
Before BOLT AI, no comparable product existed for AWS users. Salesforce’s Agentforce set a precedent but suffered from poor UX/UI, making it overly complex for non-experts to use. Our challenge was to design an accessible, streamlined experience that allowed anyone — even those unfamiliar with agentic AI — to build and deploy agents without friction.

The Result
We launched BOLT AI with a brand-new design system inspired by AWS standards but customized for flexibility and scalability: Agent builder UI for designing AI workflows Multi-channel deployment to bot UIs or IVR voice flows Role-based design system built specifically for this product, aligning with AWS styling Simplified interaction model to lower the barrier to entry for non-technical users Impact: 🚀 Recently launched, with strong positive feedback from internal stakeholders 📈 Expected to drive adoption by filling a critical gap in AWS’s ecosystem 🔮 Provides any AWS user the ability to purchase, build, and deploy their own AI agents wherever they need them
